No new plastic!...that was the rallying call when we set about creating Rhyme & Reason back in 2018.  Our packaging technologists worked passionately from the get-go to ensure that all of our bottles, caps, nozzles & jars are made from 100% recycled plastic. Against many complex and what seemed at the time, impossible challenges, we did it.

Our packaging is unique. Once the product is finished, it can go straight into the recycling bin, all together. This is made possible because the constituent parts have been carefully designed and made so that all of the materials are compatible with each other for recyclability. It is especially rare to find caps made from 100% recycled material. But ours indeed is and we are especially proud of that fact. Moreover, because we know a lot of screw-off caps don’t end up being recycled at all, we designed a flip-top cap so that the cap and our core bottle stay in one piece and can go in the recycling together.

As part of our undertaking to work towards a more sustainable future we are continually seeking new ways to make further positive changes. We recently developed a new technical packaging solution for our Leave-in Conditioner jar design to allow the removal of the small wad of non-recycled material within the lid. This means that our jars and indeed lids are now also made from 100% recycled plastic.

We feel we have laid a solid environmentally minded foundation on which we can carry on the progress, step by step and always true to our brand mission.

We’re proud to have achieved 100% recycled plastic source for our bottles, caps, nozzles and jars. Labels, pigments, waxes, adhesives and inks are non-recycled, but we’re working on those too.

Our carefully-crafted blends contain some of mother nature’s finest – with over 90% + naturally derived ingredients. We include a small percentage of synthetic ingredients where necessary for product stability – brilliant, effective haircare.

Each hair regime is fragranced with an exquisite scent – developed by perfumers and powered by EcoBoost™ technology which uses naturally high performance ingredients, meaning we use 90% less and still deliver amazing fragrances! It’s clever stuff.

Our formulas are packed full of amazing, hair-loving and scalp-friendly ingredients. Our formulas have all been 'dermatologically approved' and are formulated to be gentle on hair & scalp.

We're proud to say that we’re totally cruelty-free, vegan-friendly and are 100% against animal testing. In recognition of this commitment, we have been awarded ‘cruelty-free brand’ accreditation from PETA.
